Beastfilms now has a new High Definition camera (a Canon HV20 to be precise)…

As well as being HD, this camera is also much more stable than the last one due to the optical stabilization (which is much better than digital stabilization) and is also also much better at focusing and low light conditions.

Here’s a quick screenshot comparison of some of the footage from the new camera with some footage from all the other cameras we’ve ever used – you can see how BIG the image is in comparison (clicky to view actual size)
We might even put some test footage up if we get round to it.

Mizfar’s server died while he was away, so we’ve been pretty much offline for the last month or so.

However, he has returned and so we are back for all those that missed us noticed we were gone.

What’s that? No one did? Oh. Never mind then.

The Alien Film has more views on youtube than the weird ‘Mike Stripping’ vid (part 1 anyway).

I’ve been waiting for something to overtake it for years!

Now so long as everyone doesn’t click on that link and increase the view count then we’re safe

Just a little update (if anyone reads this)…

I promised some outtakes in my last post, and hopefully they should be on their way soon enough, so keep checking!

Also, we’re currently brainstorming ideas for our next film, and we should start filming sometime this summer, so long as we come up with an idea that isn’t crap before then (or one that is crap but we’ll do it anyway). Current ideas involve tribes, ninjas and lots of running.

After many months of filming, editing, and special effecting, we have released The Alien Film!!

It has been uploaded to Vimeo for your viewing pleasure and can be watched by clicking right ->here<-, or by going to The Alien Film page. You can also find it on YouTube but because it’s over the 10 minute limit, it’s in 2 parts (to be honest the Vimeo version’s much better because YouTube has slightly rubbish quality).

And now I think it’s time to give Huw a much deserved break…..well, at least until he gets bored and starts editing the outtakes together (yup, we have a bunch of those).

Ooook we finally have chosen some music for the final battle scene, and Huw is currently editing away at it. This means that the film is VERY CLOSE to completion, and should be with you in the next couple of days (hopefully).

In other news we’ll be switching host ’cause streamline.net is crap. This should mean the site actually loads all the time instead of being veeeeeerrrryyyy sllooooooow and being a bit hit and miss…. Thanks go to Mizfar for setting that up..

Hopefully the film should be released sometime next week (or the week after, or the week after) depending on how fast I finish the “special effects” and if we can choose some good music for the big ending scene that’s not very big at all. Just remember this film is much bigger (and hopefully better) than Agent Bunny so it should be worth the extremely long wait.

Now you can all stop annoying me by asking me if the film’s finished (ooops no-one reads this yet and you’re still going to annoy me anyway…baaah)

Oooooook, Huw made me make a site for the Beasts, so here it is.
